Up for Adoption: "Herbie Hancock" and "Wilma"

“Herbie Hancock” is a handsome 4 year olf Neutered Male dog of an unknown mix breed.

He weighs 70lbs, has a great, easy going temperment and medium energy level.

Herbie was found as a stray, rescued by an animal-loing police officer after wandering out into a local dam. Unfortunately, upon further examination after arrival, it was found that Herbie had a severe injury to his right front leg, leaving us no choice but amputation in order to increase his quality of life.

Although he is now missing one leg, Herbie is exceptionally adventerous and loving; never letting his handicap keep him down.

“Wilma” is a 3 year old spayed female Rottweiler. She weighs 71 lbs and has a medium energy level.

She was brought in to HSCC by an Animal control officer who found her abandoned in a hot car.

A super sweet and tolerant girl. Staff at HSCC was instantly smitten by Wilma’s friendly disposition and eagerness to show off all her obedience tricks!  While Wilma enjoys a good rambunctious romp around the play yard, she also has appreciation for the quieter, lazy times. Whether strolling around town (meeting new human friends is great fun according to Wilma), adventure-seeking or taking a moment to relax, Wilma will be a lovely friend to have by your side!
